DAY 4

things are getting quite abit.. alot.
to a hectic extent that some of us ran from the office at level 4 to pan pac hotel. HAHHA.literally.


haha. 11am. 6 events running concurrently. pan pacific hotels, 3 pacific, 3 ocean ball rooms.
AND more at suntec.

so today was juz running around.

did a seminar at ballrm 1, 11am,
ballrm 2, 3pm
and welcome reception, 6.15pm.


hm. the seminars were just with tele lense, wide ones. and play around with lighting.. try see if able to shoot a shot w/o flash and all la. boring. but i learnt alot. hah
the sem at ball rm1 was abt 3 countries in .. er.. southeast asian or smth. haha. 3 speaker. one of them was from fiji. explained the inflation prob. solutions and whot o cuurb. there's also a few questons to ponder. haha. several terms i understood. several terms i heard b4 and nv knew. and now, i've forgotten. haha.
then the sem at ballrm 2.. lighting was gd, coz there's media inside. the afternoon sems are better.. coz of the media.. they bring their own light n all...
its abt oil consumption.. energy dah dah dah. hahaha. like e geog lesson. wasted. i didnt know e detailed bg, so i could catch no ball. haha.


reception.
i took abt 15-25 grp shots of DELEGATES CAN. i'm freakly scared. haha. whole time was smiling like some small happy girl. coz almost all around me was in black and ALL are much taller than me. haha. they're very nice to me, not to weiyu who doing the same event as me. haha. so he didn't take alot of shots. haha.
but abit very disappointing. some overexposed. some under. then in the end, was so so ugh by it. THANK GOD andass came along together with the VVIPS photogs. so yea. ssloved the prob. but still occurs.
they're really nice and courteous ppl. haha. (:


we left at 910pm today. abit high. haha. but was fun la today. seriously i dun mind like if i stay whole day and get paid abit. coz i'm taking in so much valuable lessons that my 'pay' doesn't seem to matter, that much. if u tell me now that i'm not paid a single cent, i'll get abit sad la. coz i've missed trngs, church and all. but i'll be alright with it, coz i've taken back so much anyways.


i took abt 200+ shots today. after flitering. hhaa. imagine b4. haha. but i didn't fliter strictly. i just like fliter here and there. haha.

at the end of the day.
for this event, what makes u happy is to see ur photos up for sale. at $20 per piece for 6R (hard or soft copy). haha. cool right.
AND
u know more ppl. from the polys. coz they work there. s u see them day in day out.
and more connections from the photog network.

more aware of the media world.


i'm enjoying every bit of it. la. but i find it REALLY REALLY HARD to talk abt the Word. yea.

but in all i do. i know what i'm doing for (: i try to give my best shots. i can't really put my emo into it. coz after all its, IMF. haha.
but. (: (: seeing ppl from all over the world in Sg, even taking gp shots, smiling, makes me smile in my heart. it really warms me in the cold suntec area.



oh ya. HHA.
today. while i was walking back to my office, this DLO asked me if i was the '16 yr old girl' on the news. THANKS HUH. now my age is disclosed.

today. i saw MR. BEN SOH. (SAJC PE tchr). he. he was a DLO. a REALLY REALY nice one. talked to him abt the clearance of dah dah dah and all.

today, again. or might as well say everyday, i see more tp ppl. haha.

lastly.

today. i wanna thank God for giving me confidence through gary. coz really i know i'm technically not there coz i really go by how i feel abt my shots. try out here and there to balance the lighting. in the morng...

thank God for Jason, Leying, and gary for power supple. hahaha. was abit jittery though.

haha. my last event at the reception, while weiyu was seeing pics.. he said 'hey, u really take gd pics huh'. i replied, 'aiya, anyhow one la' haha. which is true. and because i was able to 'make'/invite/suggest the delegates to take a gd shot, he told me that i'm a gd event photog.

that boosted my confidence ALOT. coz of e lacking of confidence, then there'll be a lack of boldness. thus, less gd and nice upclose shots.
really. i felt gd and proud of my work la. not that i'm not proud of it initially. but at least felt more worthy to be part of NYAA. coz intially, i really felt, no way i'm goona produce smth.


i can't wait to see the coms at Fuji bootj and the walls tmr!!! whoo-hoo!!!

at this pt of time. wrk is more or less under control. its the welfare now.
so much gg on. so many differences though same passion. but yea.
that's how IMF is. Protocols may be unspoken, and it doesnt mean that we're able to step on these 'bombs'.

nonetheless, we're given this privillage, this opportunity and this platform. i strongly urge u guys to enjoy urself, get good shots and gain alot of experience. this chance is hard to come by. or rather, once in a life time.
even if IMF is held in Sg again, how old will be. no more from NYAA. no more that 'mutual understanding n respect' we'd probably get.


so.
