i love this girl. she's super animated and joyful.

above: this is probably my best shot of the day with regards to the event itself. i've got another one of that girl! ahha. she really makes everything happier.
VC went and camped there at 11am. i met them after trng at around 3. it was super crowded with unreasonable ppl. within our 30-40m radius, were alot of non singaporeans.. mainly workers from China and Blangadash and a handful of Singaporeans.

all i can say is that singaporeans are really not understanding ppl.
fireworks are in the sky right. and the human eye allows us to see it with stereoscope (is this the word we learnt in sec 4 bio?) view. and the camea, being fixed, is at a disadvantage. even with the tripod, the camera has to be somewhat infront. and since we're there first, stop asking us to move just because u want to get 'a gd view of the fireworks'. as photographers, we would really appreiciate if u guys perhaps, let us simply take photos.
i almost gave up and went home coz there weren't space to take any shots. but, everywhere was too conjested and blocked. i cannot make my way out either. so i decided to just stay and see wad i can do.
in the end, i manage to squeeze in between my vc photogs and shoot kneeling down at the waterfront. my knees hurt. u should have seen how much space i had. i felt that i was perfoming some nkf act of squeezing in a small space.
and u see this photo below?
angsted me sia. i was sitting beside my tripod. i couldn't find a place to mount yet so i just left it there to sort of give indication that that place is taken up. u can call it 'chope' or wadeva, but i really wanted my shots of fireworks. that's all. and throughout, this guy was like touching my tripod, feeling it here and there and i was just tooo irritated to do anything but watched him in irritation. i looked at him and shot a pic of him while he looked at me.
in the end, i just took my tripod and retract it and kept it in my bag. heck it. didn't want to shoot anymroe.
so yes. the fireworks. the moment.
the fireworks are ... well. tooo smoky. this one of the 3 nice non smoky shots. they really used low quality fireworks. and it was really.. wasted. so far, this is the 3rd slr fireworks shooting. and this is the more smoky one, with 3 black blotches in it... see photo below.

so after the event, the army guy bump into us. he took a grp photo of us. ahha-to be in the army news. wad the~. and he kinda interviewed us. i took the opportunity to give constuctive critisicms. he asked abt the fireworks. i said it sucked. ahah. he was like... stunned. ahha. so i told him... its really v nice. but such a wasted effort coz it was blocked by black smoke. by right, some really quality fireworks dun produce black smoke. to add on, there wasn't any wind or anything. so the smoke just clogged up there. and perhaps, like wad they did during imf... the gave a v short allowance for the smoke to clear b4 firing the next blast. so yes. pls NOTE.
also. i think crowd control can be improved.
we also suggested to put a big screen on the water next yr so that those who dun have the tickets can view the event. but it must be collapseable or smth. if not block the view of fireworks.
but this yr, i'm really impressed by the SAF. really in awe to see fighter planes and speedboats aroud. those vehicles could break and change direction so efficiently! it was well demostrated, just that our lens kenna the salt water. ahaha.
will post shots up if i've got the time. ahha.
so yes. eventful experience huh.
ok. so this mrng trng. was like. huh. was trying real hard to apply wad i learn ytd. but i think i over did it. and....

awesomes right. tmr for FAOM papper.. i really duno how to write la. THANK GOD its not like essays or smth. pray that it'll be healed by sat1pm. its the evaluation again. its my 2nd last chance to redeem myself.
