Tamp trail revamped

been so loonngg since i've rode my bicycle.

last sunday, suan jio me go trail. we all thought that it was tamp trail. but it was actually at mandai... and i only knew it like 1hr before we're supposed to meet.





so............
since i've preped up all my gears alrdy.... ok luh. i went to tamp trail BY MYSELF. hahhahas
how determined can. hahhas

but i.am.damn.unfit.


i haven't been to tamp trail since it revamped for YOG (ya, that longg!).. the last and first time i brought my new full-sus commencal meta 5.5 was to ubin last yr i think. hahhas. and that was the only time.
so today, (though i stay abt 15km away from the trail only), i was tired gg there! hahas. and... I STOPPED BY WENDY'S for a baked potato with coke float. HAHAHA.

but seriously. was damn tired.


suan told me that they actually 'flattened' the area abit.. BUT. on those slopes that i was able to ride through it in the past, i really struggled this time. ahhas. i mean like... if u see the slopes, i dun even think u'd call it a slope. ahhas. probably just a slight gradient? ahahs.



i spent alot of time taking photos since the trail was quite nice.

quite sad that u need a bmx license to use the bmx track. but u know what.
i'm kinda thinking of geting a hard tail!!!! hahahas. (omg right.) dun get me wrong, i still love my full sus.. but i think i need to be fitter to ride this love.





so i completed the whole trail. and i think i pushed my bike like 60% of the time. looking back, i have no idea how i'd survived ubin. hahas.
and and and.. they have a washing point!!!!!!!!!! (:
how happy.so now i dun have to painstakingly dismantle my bike so that i can fit all the parts in the toliet to wash at home. (:

ahhas. then like spent 2hrs ++ talking to the uncle there n some of the bikers. hahas



i hope it wouldn't be the last of me at tamp trail.
but i do rmbr telling myself to remind myself to reject all jios that suan jio me wtr to trails. ahhas.
seriously! WHAT HAPPENED. hahhahas.



anyways! OTW. it was like ROUND 2 WENDY'S for me. AHHAHAHAHS.







so much for wanting to improve my stamina and heading straight to wendy's despite not doing a personal good ride that day.


ok. TMR. CIRCUIT REVISION for 2A AT 8.30AM. omg. I HAVE NO IDEA why i booked at 8.30am?!
31st's my TP! AHHAS. abit excitied. but i dun want to fail and wait and wait. let me bragged that i passed my first 2b TP with only 4 demerit pointss!! ahhahhahahas. so, i know i can do this! hahas


been at home painstakingly editing all the wedding photos till 6am. wake up at 12pm and edit again. really burnt. but i'm glad i'm taking joy looking at all these happy wedding photos...

and ya. out of desperation anxiety and disappointment for the rejection wtr to my scdf application, i applied for police. and true enough, i got called for interview. the interview procedure sounds long. like need to prepare so much documents, wear formal wear, bring extra set of clothing and so forth.

then it made me think- do i really, really want this job.
i know, i dont mind. but will this i-dont-mind be able to sustain me throughout the whole bond.
i do want to enjoy what i'm doing.
then again, u'll never know until u really try right. honestly, i really dont know. i'm finally faced with my fears after being rejected- now what?

honestly, i want to work in the airline industry. to repair aeroplanes.... along those lines la. i've applied to changi airport group/ SIA but no news. HAHA. IMAGINE i apply for air stewardess and get through all the interviews... HAHHAS. BIG LAUGHS MAN.
but yea.. i kinda regret not doing an engineering diploma.

u know, after my o levels and all those shit, i actually got accepted into Mechatronics in TP. but somehow, i just didn't want it...and managed to appeal and get into Marketing using my sports.
looking back, maybe i really should have accepted the engineering offer!!!!!!!!! haiz.
but nonetheless, when i always look back at this, i recall what i've learnt in marketing and the very different awesome friends that i've made, and just smile and tell myself that it's all worth it. (:

but ya.
hahas. it ever did cross my mind of doing another diploma in engineering. but it's stupid coz i've got a degree and it would take me another 3 yrs?! hahas. and i believe i can do an engineering cert elsewhere ya.


ok. still searching. but i believe God has plans for me. (:

Sportperformance Hong Kong International Touch Championship

6 days in Hong Kong.

the competition's held on the 7th may, right on the day of General Elections for Singapore.
missed the whole General Elections saga back in Singapore especially when its my first time voting! but i guess its worth it. (:
it could have been my first year voting as i've hit my 21 ys of age and i'm sad to have missed all the commotion in singapore, especially with the uprising of the vigorous opposition in power. however, my experiences in hongkong was no doubt, memorable and made everything worth while, especially with new friendships made, taking it to a whole new level. hahahhas.


out of the 3 times i've been to hk, this was the only time i could really R & R man. 1st time was study trip.. didn't have much time to do anything. 2nd time was a 2.5 day drip with Blacks for contact. hahas. this time is for touch. hahas

Monsoon fielded in 17 players... into.... THREE teams.. ahhas. so many of the them who played in 2 categories had like 4 back to back 15 mins game... with 2 subs. ahhas. madness man. hhahas. but it was funnnnnn.

and yes, we won both categories!! so we're the Mixed and Men's CHAMPS for the tournament, with karen being the overall Mixed MVP. how cool. ahhhas. i think the guy MVP should be Dan from our team... but i think winning all the 4

ok. i blogged in like detail and blogger just had to disappoint me despite me being a loyal blogger. hahas. so yes. i am gg to re-blogged coz it was sucha great trip though i think i'll be missing out more details now.. but the photos should be good enough! hahas.






Day 1- when we Landed!

then walked around temple street.

Day 2- Ocean Park with Marli!

breakfast at the best chee chong fan place!



the girls will be gg ocean park on mon.... so decided to go with marli coz she only had till sunday. ):
marli came to ref. so decided to acc her to ocean park! hahhas.
went to find for her in wan chai... where the offical lodging was. CharterHouse. damn nice can. ahhas.
also my first time travelling in hongkong alone for awhile. hahas. bravely took the tram. got a little lost.. but it turned out fine! hahas

): we watched this great ocean park water show.. fire on water and all! but wasted. no photos on it.
the show was a great closing and made me want to go back again!




Day 3- Game Day!
















then it was court session. where ppl get fined for doing stupid things. and overseas rookies all get fined. hahas.



and part2 drinking/ clubbing session at wan chai.




Day 4- Team Dim Sum + factory outlet shopping!

awesome dim sum. at times sq/ lane crawford there. hhahs. yummmmmmy.



and gong cha!



this one at City Gate at dong zhong. all da factory outlets man! but also not say v cheap la. some cheap some ex. u must know the price in sg then u know what's gd to buy. i bought this new balance top ah. ahhas. that's about it. and a thomas train box for the small boy at home.




then more shopping at temple street, dinner, part 2 dinner and dun nai. hahs. (:





Day 5- self exploration trip + steamboat!

we had breakfast together...





then they went Ocean park and i explored hk myself. haahs. was very nice actually.
walked from jordon all the way to prince edward st. so passed by mong kok, yau ma ti, temple st, fa yuen street, sai yeung st...
went to Wing Shing to get camera supplies. finally bought my J2 bag!!! (:
went to this place.. all the sports shops there man! siaow lor. ahahas. really high speed shopping. covered alot of ground, saw alot of things also man. ahahs. i like.





then met up with the girls for steamboat dinner! hahas. sailou supposed to come but i guess coz we couldn't reach him as we didn't have wifi. hahahs. but nonetheless, we had a great time. ahas. the food wasn't THAT fantastic. normal luh. ahas. but the company was great. hahahs




Day 6- Last lap CHIONG for FOOD. & GUESS WHO I SAW!!!!

so. LAST DAY IN HK.
most of us were sick. flu/ diarrea and all. so we went to eat bird nest egg tart! hahas and drank birdnest.
hahas. relatively cheap ah. one bowl about sgd $6? hahas. but was good for the throat.



then went to the Central's H&M..



and LAN FONG YUEN!!!!!!! at gage street/ stanley st.
was awesommee. the food was like... BOOOMZ. hahas. love the milk bread and the tea. it was said that this was the place that hk's milk tea originated from. damn shiokkk.



then we CHIONGED for egg tarts!! ahahs. went to 2 diff shops to get egg tart. hahas
i prefer the first one. but both are AWESOME.




then it was time for shan and i to say bye to the girls! ):
otw back to the hotel... GUESS WHO WE SAW!!!?!?!
OMG. they're like my top 2 fav hk actor. ahhas. LAUGHING GE. aahhhas. was a pleasant surprise! though we're quite rushing for our flight.. we just had to stop to take photos of them! hahas. i could have taken more shots of them ah. but nahhh. hahhahas. was so excited man!





flight was delayed by an hour. ahhas.
stupid tiger airways. i told them not to tilt my handcarried 3 boxes of egg tarts.. but they refused. one of them allowed me to put beside my seat since it was empty. but 5 mins to take off, this air stewardess came and took the bag and tilted it horizontally to put into the overhead cabin. i was like.. OMG. and she didn't even ask me for my consent! damn rude ya.

then i actually cried over my crushed eggtarts. AHHAHAHS. didn't know i've got so much heart into egg tarts. hahas. damn stupid and wierd.. but ya. haha. then like abt 15 mins into the flight when the plane was stably up in the air, that air stewardess asked me if i wanted to put it down at my seat. i was like.. no point ya. crushed means crushed alrdy. hahas.





so yup! that was my hk trip with monsoon. overall, it was great and ohsomuch fun! (:
really got to know the team more.. especially with the guy's side. coz we train seperately so we're not really that familiar with each other. hahas!

and on the field wise, i think everyone played better in hk than in sg! hahas. i guess coz we just only had 2 subs (while other team had like 8 subs) and wanted to push on. for me, i was the resident winger. i think i could have stepped it up and play centre more... but aiya. ahhahs. next time!

i'm just really glad to know each other more.

just got back from hk last night at 2am!
great time, great friends, great game.
Monsoon won both categories... Mixed and Men's.

and today, i slpt in the hall immediately after de-packing.
woke up at 11am to deliver the egg tarts to work.
then bought home lunch... and slpt till evening.
ahhas

was constantly sick in hongkok. i got sick while on the plane to hk alrdy. throat was dry and thus, i think the whole infection process kicked in. so througout hk, i was sick. had the bad dry coughs and constant flu. ahhas. my roomie karen was understanding enough man. she didn't complain at all abt my major coughings at night.

so yes. because of my coughings, i really lacked all the slp that i needed.




and i had the weirdest dream.
i dream of my that colleague. u know, the one i mentioned that i think she was bung?
i dreamt like we wanted to cross the road fast fast. so she pulled my hand and run across the road. then once we crossed, she was still holding on to my hand. i asked her "er.. i think u can let go of my hand now". then she was like "dont u think this is better". hahas. omg. then u know what.. in my dream.. i smiled.
hahas. omg right.

how freaky.
the the more freaky part to the dream was like.. i knew i was happy with her? like a great satisfaction of comfort kinda thing. hahas.
errrhhssss.. ok. i really dun want to think of it.
if not the next time i go back to work when i face her, i might just be stressed and stammer and all. hahas.

OPPOSITION FTW. as what nicole says, there should be opposition in the parliament. all PAP how can!!! having said that, the government should still be the major holders of the seats together with the strong heartly oppositions.
seriously.
i WANT TO VOTE!!!! ): cant wait for the results man. i hope singaporeans will vote not to be anti-government or super pro-opposition, but vote for the party that cares for you, bearing in mind that there's also still a need for an abled government.
so its like.. i hope everyone's on the same page and have a good consensus.



anyway. onto my life...

totally not bothering about scdf for now.
looking at all my fire-engines and happy looking fireman lego parts and figurines, i am being reminded of why i want to join out the force initially; to save lives, to reach out to those in need.
and if scdf is not the force that allows me to, i will seek out other organizations.

i've applied jobs in Singapore Airlines / Changi Airport group. positions like emergency officer, emergency specialist... or even senior technical officer.




ok. last sat, 1st Energizer Night trail run!










first time running in the dark with a head light on. not that scary coz alot of ppl around u. but its epic! coz there was alot of thunder and lightning. it really looked that the rain's gonna pour any moment... that's why i didnt run with my camera as planned to. kinda regretted.... coz my phone's not powerful enough!

saving to get a waterproof camera!! cannot bear to spoil my s95. though.
oh yea! my s95's repaired!!
the len's actually out of alignment!!?!?! no wonder the camera and i didn't feel like one. ahhhas. wasn't comfortable with the focusing and metering. hahas. now that it's fixed, i feel better!! hahas. its really not xin-li-zhuo-yong k!
still under warranty... so no cost. (((:


so back at the run.
was a good run. hahahs. not that i did well, but completing it felt good. though it was just 6km.. there was tmd lots of steep upslopes man!!! where got runnning event require u to use rope to climb up one?! hahahs. (refer to the first pic). damn exciting!!!!!! ((: some ppl were seriously struggling. i mean like maybe the race organizers could have inform the runners of what to expect abit. coz i think some of the ladies were quite freaked out by it really!
walked alot! like really alot. ahhas. i would attempt to run up the slope then walk on the flats. hahas.
but ok. it could have been more epic if it really did rain and made everywhere 10000x more muddy. hahas. so ok. ahahas.
yep. i think the whole HOPE ambulance team was deployed. at the finishing point.. the first aid tent was like crowded and packed with ppl with cuts and bruises on their knees and elbows.

yea. and it ended off with a light drizzle.. just like that last time i did a trail run at tampines bike park.
i will definitely join again next year if my schedule permits. didn't run the other 12km one coz i dont that i can take it with 2 ankles that are still in the recovery process.
and to those who pangsehed me.... ROCK ON. ;p



after that...
went to the pump room to meet marli and gang! hahas. but wasted.. missed the tp girls!!! met up with marli only at like late 11pm. after that.. it was about 1am and decided to go home coz i've still got a 8am shoot for the PAP when they do their grc walk at tampines.
decided to buy one bottle of hoegarden and sit by the riverside to drink. quite nice.
looking at the clear still waters.. thinking of life and bringing everything to a standstill. not a very nice way of doing quiet time literally. but it helped me get.out.


scrolling down foursquare... saw that some of my church friends at club nana. hahhas.. celebrating suan's 21st. hahas.
then drank alot more. like alot alot.
then reached home at 7:15am. the time that i needed to get out of the house to shoot at 8am.
but instead, i had a really quite clean shower (all the filth from the drinking + 6km night trail run) and landed myself on my bed and K.O till about 2pm.


dont like this kind of lifestyle. its like.. so wasted. but having such nights do remind u of certain issues on life, and allowing u to better appreciate the things around u also.
